The High School Program Leader at Richardson ISD Healthcare Careers Academy (RHCA) is Principal and District Coordinator Healthcare Careers Academy, Savannah Hollis, MA with assistance from Emily Young and Casey McCann.
2023-24 HCC Program
Our first cohort consisted of thirty-six 10th grade students. Medical students and surgical residents met with the high school students once a month for a total of 6 sessions with the first and last being hosted at the University of Texas Southwestern. Our sessions consisted of ED cases, a surgical skill session, and professional development/ college prep small group discussions.
