HCC Miami

HCC Miami was initiated in 2020 as a partnership between University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and William Turner Technical Arts High School.

The faculty sponsor for the program is Dr. Julie Valenzuela, Assistant Professor, Department of Surgery, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. The program manager is Janet Bringuez-Sanchez, Associate Director, Programs, Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

At William Turner Technical Arts High School, HCC is led by Academy of Medical Sciences, Lead Teacher, Brenda Lainez-Kamer, under the leadership of Principal Uwezo Frazier.
