The mission of Health Career Collaborative (HCC) is to help address the nation’s growing healthcare workforce shortages by inspiring and preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals. Through partnerships with medical institutions, healthcare trainees, professionals, and local communities, HCC provides high school students with meaningful exposure to healthcare careers, mentorship, health education, and academic support. HCC encourages students to graduate from high school, pursue post-secondary education, develop health literacy, and explore careers across the healthcare professions. HCC supports the development and sustainability of partnerships between healthcare institutions and their local communities to establish and implement HCC programming. By expanding opportunities for students to discover and pursue healthcare careers and strengthening community-based partnerships, HCC seeks to build the nation’s healthcare workforce and help meet the evolving healthcare needs of communities nationwide.
