NAHSE-HCC Leadership

NAHSE is proud to partner with HCC to bring additional mentorship and support to high school students from low-income and racial/ethnic minority communities. The collaboration between NAHSE and HCC is made possible through the leadership of this dedicated volunteer team, lead by Mr. Philip Morris and Ms. Shonalie Roberts.

Philip Morris is the Chief Operating Officer at HCA Houston Healthcare – West in Houston, TX. In this role, Philip is responsible for providing oversight to all operational and ancillary departments as well as providing strategic leadership for service line development and capital efforts.

Prior to joining WHMC, Philip worked as Associate COO at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO.  Additionally, Philip has served in a variety of administrative leadership roles in academic medicine (Stanford Health Care & Georgetown University Hospital) as well as the safety net setting (Alameda Health System).

Philip earned his masters of health systems administration from Georgetown University and a BS in health sciences from Furman University.  He is also an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the National Association of Health Services Executives. 

Shonalie Roberts serves as the program administrator for the Medical Student Advocate Program and Health Equity at Main Line Health’s Lankenau Medical Center. In this capacity, she oversees the team of medical students who assist patients and community members to address psychosocial barriers to their health. Additionally, she leads and supports a variety of projects and initiatives to improve health equity across MLH. 

Shonalie Roberts

Additionally, Shonalie serves as the president of the Delaware Valley chapter of NAHSE – the National Association of Health Services Executives – a non-profit association that strives to ensure the greater participation of minority groups in the health field and eliminate disparities in care. As a NAHSE chapter president, she helps engage and recruit members; pursues new partnerships that align with the mission, vision and values of the association; and oversees the planning, development and execution of all chapter activities, including educational programs, networking events and community service/volunteer activities.

Shonalie received her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a master of health administration (MHA) degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and has attained an associate in risk management (ARM) designation.

Christopher Nyenpan is a Healthcare Quality Professional currently working as a Project Manager at the Society of Hospital Medicine’s Center for Quality Improvement.

In his role, Christopher provides project management, and strategic planning for some of the organizations national multi-center quality improvement programs. Christopher also serves as Membership Committee Chair for NAHSE’s Delaware Valley Chapter where he oversees strategies to grow the chapter’s membership, improve the membership experience, and continue to deliver value for chapter members.

Tabish Mian, MSHA currently works for Main Line Health, as a Program Coordinator for Graduate Medical Education. In her work, she supports the Podiatry Residency Program at Bryn Mawr Hospital, and General Surgery Residency Program at Lankenau Medical Center. Originally from New Jersey, Tabish moved to Philadelphia after completing her Master of Science in Health Administration from Saint Joseph’s University. Tabish joined Main Line Health post-graduation, having participated in a graduate internship through the Institute for Diversity. Upon experiencing the Culture of Respect and value that the system places on Diversity, Respect, and Inclusion, she knew that it was a place where she wanted to plant her roots and grow.

Tabish is a firm believer in work-life balance, and embodies a life that emphasizes wellness. She considers herself to be an environmental steward, and lives a vegan lifestyle as she believes that this allows her to practice compassion in all of her actions. In her free time, she enjoys trying new plant-based recipes, tending to her plants, outdoor activities, and spending time with her husband and their two cats.
