Cleveland Ecosystem for Health Career Exploration

Health care institutions, hospitals, non-profits, and high schools collaborating to facilitate healthcare exploration for Cleveland youth.

The Cleveland Ecosystem for Health Career Exploration is a partnership between the Workforce Connect Healthcare Sector Partnership (HSP) and the Health Career Collaborative (HCC). The HSP and HCC collaboration has been formed to model how collaboration between K -12 urban schools, colleges & universities, healthcare employers, and community training organizations can work to create a sustainable, flexible framework for early exposure to careers in healthcare for students attending underserved high schools.

The faculty sponsors for the HCC program are Dr. Kevin El-Hayak, Associate Professor of Surgery, Case Western Reserve Medical School, Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED), and The MetroHealth System; and Mr. Phillip Rowland-Seymour, Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for Medical Education, School of Medicine. The program director is Ms. Crystal Reed, Associate Director, Workforce Connect Healthcare Sector Partnership New Bridge Cleveland.
