HCC University of Houston

Founded in 2021, HCC University of Houston is a partnership between University of Houston College of Medicine and Jack Yates High School.

The faculty sponsor at University of Houston is Dr. Kenya Steele, and the program coordinator is Ms. Ashley Schwartz. The founding medical student co-directors are Nabeel Ahmad and Ashlynn Mills. Medical students from University of Houston College of Medicine serve as volunteer mentors and instructors for the high school students at Yates High School.
