Opportunity for students age 18 or older – applications due Feb. 28, 2025

Dear FLIP Friends and Colleagues, The clock is ticking! With just two weeks remaining, the deadline for Medicine Pathways for Advancing Tribal Healthcare (M-PATH) applications is Friday, February 28th. This summer, be one of 8 American Indian Alaska Native students shadowing with physicians across various specialties, including Emergency Medicine, OBGYN, Orthopedics, Anesthesiology, and Internal Medicine. Students will also gain valuable insights into medical school admissions, honoring Indigenous identity, presentation skills and more – all while being surrounded by the amazing campus of Brigham and Women’s Hospital in the heart of Boston. Flights, lodging, program materials and most meals will be funded by the FLIP program. Don’t miss out – share this exciting opportunity with your networks! About M-PATH: The M-PATH program is a hybrid model (with an in-person 3-week summer component and longitudinal yearlong virtual sessions) designed to empower 8 American Indian and Alaska Native students through immersive clinical experiences, professional development workshops, mentoring, and sponsorship for those interested in the physician pathway. Visit our website to learn more. Key Highlights:  ·     A 3-week in-person component based at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston with clinical shadowing experiences in a wide variety of medical specialties, professional development sessions such as personal statement writing and presentations skills, simulation workshops, overview of the medical school admission process, networking opportunities, and library research skills. ·     One-year longitudinal component with ongoing professional development sessions and individual career guidance sessions.

FLIP is now accepting applications for the M-PATH program through Friday, February 28th, 2025.
